Learning Hub | Informative Session
February 28, 2022:The IBA Career Development Center (CDC) organized an informative session as part of its 'Learning Hub' segment with Mr. Kashan Hasan, Chief Executive Officer, Reckitt Pakistan. The title of the session was 'What Employers Seek in Candidates.'
Mr. Kashan kick started the session by sharing his own journey from being an IBA student to the CEO of one of the largest FMCGs in Pakistan. He emphasized developing the right attitude which is an integral part of the selection process. He added that good companies are ready to invest in their people and can do anything possible to train the fresh graduates to learn the required skills, but learning attitude is what is required by them. Curiosity to learn more, passionate about what they care, respect for multiple perspectives and being a team player are some of the attributes that organizations look for while they are making recruitment decisions.
Kashan shared some of the powerful questions generally asked by employers during the interviews and shared his experience of answering these questions. He highlighted the self-awareness element that helps candidates be authentic and presentable during assessments and interview rounds. He insisted on seeing big and the impact of the work they are trying to do in life.
The participants asked some candid questions on the subject from the speaker. They greatly enjoyed the session and found it highly interactive.
