Virtual Session: Ahmed Hashmi – Head of Experience Design at Ideate Innovation
On November 23rd, 2022: IBA Career Development Center (CDC) organized a virtual guest speaker session in collaboration with faculty member Dr. Kamran Mumtaz for the Technology Innovation Management and Design class.
Mr. Ahmed Hashmi – Head of Experience Design at Ideate Innovation, where he creates designs that make people's lives better. In the session, he describes the importance of UX/UI and how it helps in understanding the needs, values, abilities, and limitations of the customer. In contrast, UI tells that how a user interacts, is the journey from start to end.
Being an innovator, find opportunities where the user can have a better experience. There are five areas you can look for opportunities: usefulness, usability, efficiency, desirability, and accessibility.
He concluded the session by mentioning that It is the responsibility of the whole design team but primarily the innovator is responsible for creating the journey map of the user and using it accordingly.
