Study Tour at Soorty Enterprises Pvt Ltd
On November 22nd, 2022: IBA Career Development Center (CDC) organized a study tour at SoortyEnterprises - Pvt. Ltd.
IBA Students were warmly welcomed and oriented with the introduction of Soorty Enterprises Pvt ltd. by Ms. Hira Khan - Assistant Manager Learning and Development.
Mr. ArizRazi - DeputyGeneral Manager, facilitated the students with a complete tour of Soorty manufacturing, known as World of Denim. He briefly explained denim production by touring every department from raw material warehousing to the final production of denim. During the tour, he also educates the students regarding frontend and backend integration and cost-reduction strategies with a special emphasis on quality, cost, and delivery of their products. This will be done through research, innovation, and a sharp focus on their international clientele demand while ensuring a sustainable impact on Earth.
Mr. Imran Javed - Senior Human Resource Manager and Mr. Noman Hamid - General Manager also addresses the student with information regarding the textile sector and provide exposure to opportunities that individual can avail of as there are many gaps that need to be filled via career progression. Students asked multiple questions, clarified all queries regarding this industry, and found this excursion activity intensely beneficial to learn about pursuing a career in textiles, especially in denim manufacturing.
