Study Tour at Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX)
November 18, 2021: The IBA Career Development Centre organized a study tour to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) for the IBA students. The main objective of this excursion was to guide students on the capital market and provide them with practical experience in stock market operations.
Mr. Fahad Asif, Manager, Digital Media at PSX, told our students about their roles, their investment portfolios, and other related aspects of the stock market. He introduced various terminologies and concepts such as commercial drivers, investment techniques, financial planning, portfolio management, dividends, auction process, and account type for traders, including its ecosystem. The session provided some valuable information.
A detailed Q&A segment was also held between PSX experts and IBA students. Students were also encouraged to begin their investment journey in the stock world from the minimum fund. The students found the visit highly beneficial because it gave them practical exposure to the operations of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
