February 20, 2020: The Senior Manager, Pakistan HR Leader at Nielsen Pakistan, Ms. Raana Kazmi, conducted a session regarding Interviewing Skills at the IBA Karachi Main Campus.
The session initiated with an interactive activity "Spot Your Talents" – a personal exercise to identify their talents and patterns of excellence. Ms. Raana explained that it is important to look inwards at yourself before you look outwards.
Students were made aware of effective CV customization techniques and the etiquettes of sending emails as part of job applications.
Switching to the employers' perspective, Ms. Raana revealed that companies prefer candidates who are aligned with the company's values. This makes it essential for candidates to study their prospective workplace before they are interviewed. Ms. Raana shared multiple ways through which interview candidates can understand the company.
