Guest Speaking session on Understanding the Financial Statement of Banking sector
December 9, 2021: IBA Career Development Centre organized a guest speaking session on 'Understanding the Financial Statements of Banking sector' at the IBA City campus. Mr. Imran Ahmed, Head Financial reporting, Habib Bank Limited (HBL) and Mr. Syed Muhammad Mohsin, Manager Financial reporting, Habib Bank Limited (HBL) were invited as distinguished guests for sharing valuable insights on the topic.
They briefly described that how we can analyze financial statements to land to productive conclusions and how it serves as an assistive tool for forecasting. Having a vast banking experience, both speakers shared practical examples through which participants got some hands-on learning experience. The students greatly appreciated this session for getting practical exposure of financial statement analysis & financial strategic planning.
A token of appreciation was presented to both the speakers for conducting such informative & interactive session. The session was co-hosted by Dr. Muhammad Asif Jaffer, Assistant Professor – Accounting & Law for his MBA class.
