Guest Speaker Session - Faisal Mahmood
On March 29, 2024, IBA -SBS was pleased to host, Mr. Faisal Mahmood of National Digital Infrastructure at Karandaaz Pakistan, who joined our Financial Institutions and Markets (FIM) class students at IBA Main Campus to share his insights as a guest speaker. In the session titled "Deciphering our DFS (Digital Financial Services) Ecosystem", Mr. Mahmood gave an in-depth overview of the DFS ecosystem and included topics such as developing cashless payment systems and digital identities. Mr. Mahmood emphasized the importance of digitalizing the economy to reduce cash dependency, showcasing the significance of the DFS ecosystem. He also discussed the value and importance of advocating for a digital future with secure, efficient financial transactions for Pakistan. Additional topics included Open Banking, Fintech evolution and the role of RAAST.
