Corporate Connect Series on Creating value with big decisions and complex transactions
February 18, 2019: The CDC hosted a Corporate Connect Series session in collaboration with Assistant Professor Economics and Mathematics, Dr. Sana Tauseef at the IBA Karachi main campus.
The session was conducted by Finance Partner - High Value Projects at Unilever Pakistan, MR. Muhammad Bilal Khan. Mr. Bilal talked about "Creating value with big decisions and complex transactions".
The session aimed at providing students with a perspective on the role of a Corporate Finance Analyst in the modern era of financial markets. He discussed in detail why at times big decisions are required to create value for investors / shareholders, and how are Complex Transactions managed to achieve the goals of those Big Decisions. Unilever's divesture of Spreads Business was shared as an example for explaining how complex divesture transactions are structured and managed.
