Corporate Connect Series | Operations Management
April 5, 2021: The IBA CDC collaborated with Assistant Professor and Chairperson Management Department, IBA, Dr. Muhammad Kamran Mumtaz to organize a guest speaker session at the IBA Karachi.
Head of Supply Chain Finance, Unilever, and IBA alumna, Ms. Jumana Nooruddin was invited to lead a session on Operations Management. She explained to the students that the operations department handles the culminating roles for any company. It works in sync with both the marketing and finance departments as it is responsible for delivering the products to the consumer. As an example, she talked about the ice-cream production at Unilever and explained the amount of planning and execution that goes into producing and distributing ice cream to stores all around the country.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the session and extended their gratitude to Ms. Jumana at the end of the session.
