Corporate Connect Series | Guest Speaking Session
On September 12, 2022: IBA Career Development Center organized a guest speaking session in collaboration with faculty, Dr. Shakeel Ahmed Khoja in his class of Human Computer Interaction (HCI). Mr. Hyder Mirza, Chief Executive Officer, CloudJunction was invited as a guest speaker.
Mr. Mirza started the session by providing an overview of the innovation and design, linking ideas with human computer interaction backing by real world examples. At one point, he stated that why can't we build applications and start and add to ecommerce business and export our products like denim products as we are among the highest cotton producers.
At one point he stated, "It's a mindset challenge where we focus on exporting mangoes rather developing iPhone in Pakistan." Similarly, in Pakistan we are focused on programming and coding and no other aspects and cycles, said Mr. Mirza.
Students found the session interactive and put their ideas and understandings forth and asked multiple questions as well.
