The Season of Recruitment Drives at the IBA

The advent of 2018 continues to be fueled up with on campus recruitment drives by various big names of the industry. The recruitment sessions were either single or two-day activities in which students were introduced to the entire procedure of applying to the programs.

Daraz's team conducted the recruitment drive on January 30, 2018 at the IBA and introduced students to its Future Leading Program (DFLP). This time, Daraz aims at hiring at least 10 Management Trainees. The Management Trainee program is about training individuals for about two years to make them ready for Management positions within the organization.

On February 2, 2018, P&G's team conducted an orientation session on its Summer Internship Program. Mr. Sami Ahmed, Vice President, P&G and a proud IBA alumnus shared his convincing thoughts on the P&G's flagship program. He advised students to look for a long term commitment in a job and find a job that resonates with oneself. The session was taken further by other P&G' team members where they highlighted various benefits of working with the retail giant of Pakistan. Summer Internship in P&G Pakistan is a 10-12 week's program for students. This program will be based on real business projects that will aid in building students' experience. The program is targeting both the Bachelors' and Masters' Students who are 6-months to 1 year away from their graduation. The test was conducted on February 6, 2018 and over 150 students appeared in the test.

The much awaited recruitment drive was carried out by Unilever on February 7, 2018 at the City Campus, IBA. After a brief overview about the organization and its core functions, students were introduced to Unilever Future Leaders Program 2018 (UFLP) and Unilever Leadership Internship Program (ULIP).

Students were introduced to the online game test followed by a digital interview for UFLP. On passing the interview, the students will be called to the Discovery Centre. A one hour on-campus test was conducted for ULIP right after the session and over 500 students appeared in the test.

One of the premium banks of Pakistan, HBL conducted its orientation on HBL -The League on February 8, 2018. A number of veterans from HBL were present during the session to motivate the students with their inspiring careers. Mr. Nasir Saleem, Head of Global Operations at HBL and an IBA alumnus, had an insightful conversation with the audience. Mr. Jamal Nasir, Head of Human & Organizational Development and an IBA alumnus, briefly explained how lucrative this program can be for students seeking for a diversified career.

HBL hired around 25 MTs last year from the IBA and intends to give more opportunities to the IBAians. HBL- The League is an 18-Month program with 3-month long training. Applications are open from February 1 and will end on February 25, 2018. Online Gamification will begin in March, 2018.
