The Recruitment Drive's Season Continues
Recruitment events are in full swing as we are in the midst of approaching towards summers.
The Citizens Foundation's team visited IBA on February 13, 2018 to introduce their newly launched "TCF Baghbaan Ambassadors Program" Isfandyar Inayat, General Manager – Strategic Partnerships & Community Outreach explained students that the Baghbaan Ambassadors is a student-centric program in which they will be on-boarding six groups of four to six students per semester. Each group will be assigned couple of TCF mentors. Students will be rewarded with a social service award after the completion of this social internship. The TCF team also conducted one-on-one interviews of the interested students right after their session. This program is recognized by the IBA and strongly recommended by CDC to students for social internship.
On February 14, 2018, Faysal Bank Limited conducted a recruitment drive where the team provided an orientation about the bank's MT Program. Students were given details about applying to the program. Following that evening, the leading Consulting and Audit firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) team UAE visited the IBA City Campus for the first time to moderate an enthralling session in search of junior to mid-level consultants for their firm. The session started with a brief introduction about the company and participants were encouraged to remain engaged throughout the session. Participants were handpicked by the moderators based on different subject areas during the session and one-on-one interviews were conducted right on the spot.
Colgate Palmolive team conducted on-campus recruitment test for the Sales & Marketing MT Program 2018 on February 15, 2018. Over 150 students appeared in the test. Shortlisted candidates will now be invited for the interview round scheduled to happen at the IBA premises very soon.
Abu Dawood's team was here at the Main Campus on February 16, 2018 for an orientation session and interviews for the hunt of Management Trainees. Like previous years, they were targeting MBA graduating batch only. The HR Head, Sabiqa Kiyani especially came to meet and interview the IBA's MBA graduating class. She mentioned that Abu Dawood is a sales-driven company, but they are working on making it more dynamic by expanding the portfolio. Students were encouraged by other team members to avail the opportunity of being a part of Abu Dawood's MT program where employees are rotated in various departments and placed according to their sets of skills.
Team from Bank Al Habib visited IBA, Main Campus on February 21, 2018 to brief about the MTO program and subsequently conduct on-campus test. BAH Management Trainee Program is a talent nourishing program guided by their value system and which is aligned to corporate goals for developing future leader. Individuals with aspiration to rise to greater heights in the management hierarchy will attain a solid all-round and specialized banking knowledge through the six-month MTO Program being offered by Bank Al Habib. Hasan Mohsin, Team Leader Talent Acquisition, Human Resource Division, expressed the organization's interest in hiring the IBA graduates and shared success stories of the IBA alumni working with Bank Al Habib. Although, a nationwide test was already conducted for all the institutions, but BAH team especially visited IBA to facilitate applicants on-campus.
In line with its vision of making Coca-Cola Içecek (CCI) a great place to work, CCI Pakistan visited IBA on February 28, 2018 at the IBA Main Campus to look out for the best talent. CCI is the 5th largest bottling company in the Coca-Cola system in terms of sales volume. With a consumer base of over 400 million people, CCI has operations in 10 countries – including Pakistan.
The team introduced the students to the MT program and its process of application and gamification. Gamification is a simulation based platform which does not require gaming or technical skills. Each game has a duration of 60 minutes based on scenarios from every day operations at work. Each scenario has to be responded in maximum 60 seconds.
