Corporate Connect Series aims to bridge the gap between the academia and the corporate arena.

To expand the reach of this program and to make it more effective, we are now co-hosting these sessions with the Faculty during the Fall semester 2018.

The first session of the Corporate Connect Series in Fall 2018 was conducted on September 19, 2018 at the IBA Main Campus, G&T Auditorium. . Mr. Ahmed Khashe Lodhi, Head Equity Sales Global Treasury, HBL and an IBA alumnus was invited to talk on the topic "How Stock Markets Function and How Issuers and Investors Benefit from Stock Exchanges".

Mr. Ahmed Khashe Lodhi initiated the discussion by introducing the basic functions of capital markets and stock markets. He presented the advantages and disadvantages of Debt Financing and Equity Financing. He engaged the audience during the session on various topics such as Secondary Public Offering (SPO) of KSE and scenario of KSE in 2017.

The session concluded with an active question and answer session where students cleared their ambiguities related to investing in stocks. We are thankful to Mr. Ahmed Khashe Lodhi and the HBL team for providing their generous support of time and knowledge.
