Corporate Connect Series on Growing Impact of Technology on Society, Business and Future of Research
The CDC hosted Corporate Connect Series session in collaboration with Dr. Nadya Chishti, Assistant Professor, Social Sciences and Liberal Arts on September 26, 2018 at the IBA Main Campus.
The session was conducted by Mr.Abdul Sattar Babar, Managing Director IPSOS Pakistan. Mr. Babar is an experienced strategic marketing and business intelligence specialist who has worked in senior local and regional roles at Synovate, British American Tobacco and Aftab Associates, prior to launch of MEMRB Pakistan in 2006.
Mr. Babar spoke on "Growing Impact of Technology on Society, Business and Future of Research". He initiated the session with general knowledge Q/A discussion and proceeded highlighting the dependency of generations on computers and the influence of equipment and internet in years. He said, "The greatest disruption in today's world is Public Opinion which leads to huge conversion." Various methods of conducting research were briefly discussed in the session. He urged the students to go beyond research, harness technology, bridge the gaps and refine the data in broad spectrum. The session was attended by Ms. Maimuna Shafaat, Business Lead at IPSOS Pakistan, CDC staff and students.
